For the nut buns, briefly boil the milk, stir in the nuts with the sugar and lemon zest and chill.

Spread the mixture on the puff pastry and roll up evenly from both sides.

Cut pieces about 1 cm thick, brush them with egg and bake the nut buns at 200°C for about 10 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

If the filling is too hard for the nut buns, simply stir in some milk.
