Fry the bacon cut into small cubes and roast the chopped onions in it. Cut the meat into cubes, the sausage into thick slices and slice the prepared white cabbage.
Put everything into a saucepan together with the sauerkraut, the paradeis pulp and the spices. Add enough hot beef broth or water to cover everything. Cook the dish in a heated oven or on a low flame with the lid closed for about 1 hour. Serve with thick slices of bread. – If you wish, you can add 100g of prepared mushrooms cut into slices to the bigos during cooking.
Tip: Cook only with high-quality spices – they are the be-all and end-all in a good dish!
